TUFF SHED, Inc., America’s leading supplier of installed storage buildings and garages, will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 to celebrate the opening of the company’s new Fairfield, Calif. location.
The grand opening event will be conducted in conjunction with the Fairfield and Vacaville Chambers of Commerce, with Fairfield mayor Harry Price and Vacaville Mayor Steve Hardy also taking part in the Wednesday’s ceremony. The new TUFF SHED factory-direct retail facility is located at 2637 Martin Road near Travis Air Force Base.
TUFF SHED has been serving Northern California area customers since opening its first California manufacturing and retail sales location in 1988 in Sacramento. The company’s Fairfield store is its ninth factory-direct retail outlet in Northern California.
“Northern California is a very important customer base for us,” says Ken Clark, TUFF SHED Regional Sales Manager. “We’re expecting the Fairfield store to be a bit hit. It’s very visible and easy for our customers to get to.”
While TUFF SHED is based in Denver, Colorado, the company takes a uniquely local approach to its business, including getting involved in the local business community and organizations like the Chamber of Commerce.
“We don’t make our products in some far off place and then ship them into state,” says Clark. “Unlike some other builders, we have local production facilities and hire local crews to fabricate and install our products. And we have professional sales consultants who understand the local building rules.”
The localize approach to customer service seems to be working for the 31-year-old company, evidenced by 99% of TUFF SHED customers saying they would refer their friends and family to the company.
