Tuff Shed demonstrates its commitment to sustainability through key practices in quality standards and manufacturing processes, and its selection of partners, suppliers, and materials. We are proud that our products are American-made by teams of local carpenters and installers and we’re constantly looking at ways to innovate and improve how we impact the environment.
Louisiana Pacific® siding, trim, floor and roof decking makes up most of the sheet goods for our buildings. Their Sustainable Fiber Sourcing Policy means they maximize each tree they use with a focus on regenerative lumber. The majority of LP products are carbon negative meaning a brighter future for us all.
Tuff Shed buildings exclusively use low or even no Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Glidden paint, not only for their signature look, but also for their environmental dedication. Glidden has already been recognized for their decarbonization commitment while with keen focuses on waste reduction while managing energy and water usage.
Our partners at GAF supply us with high-quality and durable shingles, and do so with a focus on environmental impact. Their goal is to divert over a million pounds of roofing materials from the landfill annually by utilizing recycled materials in their asphalt shingles.
We believe our approach to sustainability begins with our industry-leading products. Our buildings are created to be durable and long-lasting which reduces impact on the environment from waste. We only source materials from partners that live up to our high standards with sustainability goals that match or exceed our own.
Sustainability begins with the design process as each of our buildings are designed to maximize quality while minimizing waste.
Building components are pre-fabricated at our local factories to ensure quality, reducing cuts, and making sure we get the most out of our raw materials. Paint is applied using rollers, which are bagged and reused, reducing waste and use of water.
The combination of our pre-fabrication approach and our local networks of factories and install teams allows for single-day onsite installation. That limits multiple trips over the road, reducing environmental impact.
