Erin's Crochet Clubhouse
A crochet clubhouse? Count us in.
Erin is the creative mind behind the crochet studio, Juniper and Oakes and she transformed her 10 x 12 Premier PRO Tall Ranch into a multifunctional headquarters for her business. It serves quadruple duty as an office space, a pattern design studio, a beautiful backdrop for video calls, and a sales hub from which she sells patterns world-wide.

Erin Needed More Space
When Erin and her husband first moved into their house, they were expecting. They knew that in just a few months they’d outgrow the space, so she started exploring how to get more room. Additions were costly and complicated, but then she discovered she sheds.
Once Erin found Tuff Shed and played around on our online configurator, she was sold. She designed her she shed and added a clerestory upgrade to allow for plenty of natural light. Erin finished out the space with a minisplit for heating/cooling, a standing desk complete with a walking pad, and a pegboard for plenty of yarn storage.
Building a Shed in a Bottle
Erin says that the sales team at Tuff Shed was a dream to work with, especially considering that her backyard provided a tricky situation--it’s tightly bottle-necked on one side.
Tuff Shed was the perfect installer for the job. Since we prefabricate components in our local factories and install the building on site, the authorized installers were able to fit her customized shed back into the yard and build it in one day.
Strangely-shaped yards? No problem. Erin told us that’s a big reason she went with Tuff Shed.
Neighborhood Moms, Unite

Erin’s amazing studio space has become the neighborhood mom hangout. Her friends and neighbors come over and can chat and bask in her beautiful backyard building.
For a shed that was already doing quadruple duty as business headquarters, that’s impressive.
In fact, Erin calls it her clubhouse. She shared that in a house of five people, the shed is her space. It acts as her own haven, where she can create and relax.
Erin's Advice for Creative Folks
We asked Erin if she had any advice for the folks dreaming of getting their own creative studio. She told us, “You should definitely do it, because it’s changed my life.”
Erin recommends taking a pen to paper and sketching out your design and what you want. Pro tip: think about where the sun is during different times of day and times of the year, so you maximize natural light and minimize the sun getting in your eyes.
