We recently added transom windows to our repertoire of available options in order to offer an aesthetically pleasing alternative to skylights, allowing extra light into our buildings, while still providing privacy and security. The transom windows come in two styles, the standard 14.25″ x 8″ version (intended for sidewall placement as shown here) and the slightly larger 20″ x 11″ tempered glass version (intended for above door placement as shown here). The standard transom windows retail for $49 each, while the tempered glass windows are $59 each.

Can the transom windows be purchased separately for later installation?
Hi Joy, due to the construction and design of our buildings, we typically don’t recommend that our customers make additional cuts or additions to the construction of the building. However, some exceptions can be made and we do recommend speaking with your local Tuff Shed team as to the plan for your building. They’ll be able to help from there.
Are transoms openable, like a window? Can they facilitate a breeze?
The transom windows do not open, but if you’re wanting to let a breeze into your building we do offer several other window options that open.
