Heavy Duty, Patented Door

The door, it has been said, is one of the most important element of a shed. It is easily the most significant moving part of the building, and an item that the shed owner will use every time they enter the building. But for the typical shed builder, building a door that looks great, performs well, and stands the test of time can be a really difficult challenge.

Fortunately for TUFF SHED and our customers, the TUFF SHED door is one of a kind. It is super heavy-duty, with a patented steel-reinforced design that is sheeted on both sides with LP engineered wood. It won’t twist or warp. Our heavy duty hinges (each rated at 500 pounds) mean the door won’t sag. And our patented locking handle gives our customers security and easy access at the same time.

Finally, our customers have door options, giving you the freedom to add a double door, add an additional single door, choose where the door is placed, which way it opens, what decorative trim designs are included and even what color the door is painted.

Some of the particulars relating to doors varies by TUFF SHED building model, such as standard door height or possible door placement, but whichever model you choose, we guarantee you’ll be receiving a TUFF SHED door that is legendary in its quality.

    1. Hi Barry, great question! If you’re looking to replace the doors on your Tuff Shed building due to a warranty issue, your local Tuff Shed team will be happy to help. Unfortunately, if you’d like to purchase the doors separately, we are unable to sell components of our buildings due to our patents. We hope this helps.

  1. My 12-15 yr old Tuff Shed’s door sags and has a big gap at the top.. does Tuff Shed repair/ rehang doors and how much will it cost?

  2. I own a tuff shed and purchased metal ramps that are about 48″ in width. The doors to the tuff shed with the ramps will not close because of the door over hang. Do you have a fix that can allow me to have the ramps attached to the shed and close the doors?

    1. Hi Glenn, we’re sorry to hear about that. We recommend contacting your local Tuff Shed team to order a replacement set of ramps for your building. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

  3. I have an older Shed that has the paddle lock latch. The latch is not working and I am trying to figure out how to remove it without damaging the door. Currently to enter the shed, I have to remove the hinges as the door was in the locked position when the latch stopped working. Any suggestions?

    1. Hi Cheryl, we’re sorry to hear about the issue with the lock on your door. If you could send our team an email at [email protected] with the serial number of your building, found on the nameplate above the door and a good contact number to reach you, our team will be in touch as soon as possible to help.

  4. Can the Tuff Shed doors be opened closed/locked and unlocked from the inside as well?

    1. Hi Judith, our doors can certainly be opened and closed from the inside, however they cannot be locked from the interior to ensure our customers do not get accidentally locked inside the building.

  5. I need to remove the handle/ lock from my tuff shed so I can replace a board (turmites). Do you have a video on how to?
